AMD Ryzen 7 8700F Performance

With boost speeds of up to 5.0 GHz, the processor is designed to handle gaming, multitasking, streaming, and everyday applications.

The combination of multiple CPU cores and high clock speeds can also be useful for users who like to run several applications while gaming.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Graphics

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is one of the main highlights of this desktop.

The dedicated GPU is designed for modern gaming and supports advanced graphics technologies such as ray tracing. This makes the system suitable for gamers looking for detailed visuals and strong graphics performance.

The RTX 5070 can also be useful for certain creative applications and other workloads that benefit from GPU acceleration.

32GB DDR5 Memory

The system includes 32GB of DDR5 memory, providing plenty of RAM for gaming and multitasking.

This amount of memory can be useful for users who like to keep multiple applications open while gaming, streaming, browsing, or working.

For a modern gaming desktop, 32GB also provides room for demanding applications and games without immediately requiring a memory upgrade.

2TB SSD Storage

Storage is provided by a 2TB SSD, giving users substantial space for games, applications, documents, photos, videos, and other files.

Modern games can take up considerable storage space, so having 2TB available can be convenient for users with a large gaming library.

An SSD can also provide fast system startup and application loading compared with traditional hard-drive storage.

Cooling System

Gaming PCs can generate significant heat during demanding workloads, making cooling an important consideration.

The Codex Z2 features an ARGB air cooler and four system fans. The configuration includes three front fans and one rear fan to help move air through the chassis.

This airflow setup is designed to bring cool air into the system and help exhaust warmer air.

RGB Lighting

The Codex Z2 also features built-in RGB lighting for users who want a more customized gaming setup.

The lighting can be controlled using the MSI LED button, while additional customization is available through MSI Center software.

This allows users to personalize the appearance of the desktop to match their gaming environment.

Windows 11 Home

The computer comes with Windows 11 Home, providing a ready-to-use operating system for gaming, productivity, entertainment, and everyday tasks.

For users who prefer a prebuilt computer, having the operating system already installed can make the setup process more straightforward.

Who Might Consider This Gaming PC?

The MSI Codex Z2 may be worth considering for:

  • PC gamers playing modern games

  • Users interested in ray-traced graphics

  • Gamers who stream or multitask

  • Users who want 32GB of RAM

  • People looking for 2TB of SSD storage

  • Users who prefer a prebuilt desktop

  • Gamers who enjoy customizable RGB lighting

  • Users looking for a system that supports VR

Things to Consider

Before purchasing, it's important to verify the specifications of the exact configuration you're considering.

Prebuilt computers can have different configurations depending on the model or available options. Components such as the motherboard, power supply, cooling system, expansion capabilities, and included accessories can be important depending on your intended use.

It's also worth checking the latest warranty information, specifications, and available configurations before making a purchase.
